After another rough night, the 4th in a row, there was only one place to go to start the day properly; the coffee shop. Jack was quite thankful it was so close to his new place otherwise he would have just survived with the stuff he had at his own place that didn't quite hit the spot the way anything from the coffee shop did.
He walked through the heavy glass doors, the creek of the hinges whined over the ringing in Jack's ears like the scream of a fire work and the slam as it close the bang as it exploded. Every sound seem 20 times louder when you were hungover, each person talking in there seemed to be shouting at eachother, the money falling into the till sounded more like plates smashing. The sooner he got the coffee the better, it all dimmed down once he'd had his caffine fix. He joined the line and stuck his hand into his baggy jeans pockets as he waited trying to switch off the sound around him and failing misserably. "I'm never drinking again" He mumbled the same words he did every morning after he had been out but he never stuck to them, all it took was a quick phone call or text asking if he was coming and he forgot all about the suffering he would do the next morning.

tiffany tapped her foot impatiently. the service this morning absolutely sucked, i mean, all she'd ordered was a large coffee, light and sweet with skim milk. oh god, the ice, it was the ice that screwed her over. she breathed outward impatiently, this whole, trying to control her outter bitch that annabelle had suggested was failing miserably. "does it always take this long to make one damn coffee?" she asked the awkward guy behind the counter, he looked young and she'd never seen him before. probablly his first day. "oh, i get it, you're new." she smirked, "good luck with this job." she hissed under her breath, dropping a five on the counter without even waiting for change. she didn't need it.
about two people behind her was jack, her eyes widened (secretly because she had on her signature sunglasses) and she tried to duck away before he could notice her. but the fucking coffee shop wasn't even crowded anymore. so instead, she approached him. "how's the hangover?" she asked immediately, remembering all too well how fucked up jack had been getting lately.
tiffany had been greiving herself, in ways that people wouldn't understand. like shopping, like ignoring her 'friends', lashing out on everything that crossed her path. last night had been her only exception, tiff herseld had had one too many and spent the night back at her penthouse bent over the toilet. but tiffany was the hangover queen and she hardly looked a step out of place.
"i'm surprised you can even move." she pointed out, flipping her sunglasses ontop of her head. the slightest red rim around her eye could have given her away but screw it, so what she was hungover.

Since Abby had disapreaded so had the little group of friends that had surrounded her. Jack, Damien, Siena, Tiff and Abby were always together but now-a-day none of them really saw each other. Abby had been the one that kept them all together and now she was gone they kind of just split off from eachother. Damien and Jack were still close but they were best friends so that was a no brainer but Jack hadn't seen either of the girls for a while.
It was quite a surprise to see Tiffany there, the others were always pretty weary of Tiffany, sure she was a little bit of a bitch but Jack didn't have any problems with her and like with everyone, they did have their fights but nothing too serious, their personalities just clashed a little. But there was plenty to like about her, for a star, she was easy on the eyes and that always gave you brownie points when it came to Jack. She was probably the hottest girl Jack knew it was just a shame her personality was so, dificult.
He had been so zoned out he hadn't noticed her ahead of him in the line. You could always tell Jack was hungover he just looked a little tired and a little zoned out more than anything but he still worked that look somehow. "It'll be alright is I get coffee some time this century..." He said talking a little louder so that the people working could hear him before he looked back at Tiffany. "Gee, Thanks, looks like I'm not the only one who's feeling a little rough today though." He commented and took a step forward to the counter to order his coffee, someone from the back had come out to serve too so it wasn't long before Jack got his black coffee. "How are you then?" He asked but didn't sound too interested. He was still a little tired to act like he cared about much right then.

tiffany smirked, "i was thinking the same thing about twenty minutes ago. some new kid behind the counter." she shrugged before taking another sip of her coffee, feeling better already she flipped down her sunglasses and moved up in line with jack. she chuckled a little bit and rolled her eyes, "yeah well, that party last night was awfully crazy..." she said through a yawn. tiffany could be pleasant when she wanted to be, and right now with a mild headache--she had no energy to be a mega bitch.
"why don't we skip the formality bullshit?" she said plainly as jack's coffee was brought to the counter. "other then last night, the only people that've seen me are retail clerks and doctors, and the only people that've seen you are the alcholholics and pain killer poppers. so i'd say we're both doing fantastically." she said with sarcasm the rivaled jack's own.
tiffany had been to the doctor's quite a bit since abby had disappeared, once for her sister, once for her mother, and a therapist for herself. like every bitch, tiffany had reasons she was so bitchy. it wasn't like she just had fun tearing people apart. people just had no idea. only abby, actually. abby was supposed to be her friend and yet the girl had told the loser avery nearly everything about all of them.
so much for the best friend code.

Jack didn't look impressed when she told him it was some newbie holding the line up. How hard could it be to put a mug under a nozzel and push a button. It was rocket science. Moron. "Oh yea? Where'd you go?" He asked just curious. For all he knew she could have been at the same party he had been at, there was so many people there was a chance they just didnt meet up.
Jack laughed a little and walked to the closest booth and sat down just assuming she would follow. "Yea, I guess we are both doing great. So what do you suppose we actually talk about then if not the formality bullshit? The wasy she put it made how hed been living sound a little harsher than he had seen it himself. He wasn't that bad was he? He'd always been pretty bad but now he thought about it, he had gone 10 times worse he hardly had a night off the drink now, he hated being stuck in on his own so he just opted to hit the town with a bunch of strangers instead.
{sorry its a bit crappy block :/}

"the same party you were at dumb ass, and if i remember correctly, you announced me as 'queen bitch'." she said innocently tilting her head slightly and smiling to show just how oh so endearing his little comment had been to her. "i had to remind myself you were completely drunk off your ass before i announced you as king std." she patted him on the shoulder and followed him to the booth he'd chosen.
"the sun's in my eyes, and these sunglasses are made to look good not to protect UV rays, move." she told him, sliding in next to him expecting for him to go out the other side. tiffany was one to just give herself what she wanted. you could never rely on other people. perhaps this was a little dramatic, but that was tiffany.
tiffany took another sip of her coffee before putting it down on the table in front of her, wrapping her fingers around it loosely, so as not to freeze them off. "i don't really know, what much is there to talk about if we aren't talking about ourselves or abigail." she said this so lightly one would almost get the impression that she was a sociopath with no ultimate conciencse or feelings at all. but, if you knew tiffany you knew that wasn't the case. it's when she wasn't giving up her image that you thought to worry--just a little bit.
tiffany pursed her lips, then opened them to speak but closed them again. this repeated before she finally gave up and shook her head. she couldn't ask...could she?
"i just thought abigail had run away. i thought she'd be back by now, but--" she stopped for a second to take off her sunglasses so she could look at jack properly, "i think she's dead." it was so insensitive she almost expected lightening to strike her down.
it was ironic, when abigail had been around tiffany hated when people would talk about her, how perfect and pretty she was. but now that she was gone abigail was all tiffany could talk about while everyone else seemed to be trying to forget.

A mad hangover and a slightly scatty memory were just signs of a good night if you asked Jack it was only when people reminded you of what you had forgot that it got bad. He rolled his eyes when she repeated what she had had introduced him as "Oh, so it's your fault I came home alone last night. Spreading you're vicious lies. At least mine was the truth." Sure Jack was a total man whore but he wasn't stupid and it wasn't like he settled for just any girl, he was still picky about who he pulled into the web that was his bed and there was always protection, little Jakies walking around was his main concern and probably everyone elses, it was bad enough having him never mind a mini him. "Besides, since when did you care? I always call you a bitch" He said as he sat down.
Move? Pfft did she forget who she was giving orders to? He looked at her with a raised brow "I'd rather not thanks" Why would he sit where she had just said the sun was in her eyes, he did shuffle across a little to make space between them but he wasn't switching side. She'd just have to suffer with sitting net to him instead. He was stubborn and he didn't take orders well.
Jack just nodded, Tiff was right, there wasn't much else to talk about, there was the weather or the news but as if that was a conversation subject, he'd rather sit there in silence than make small talk while the necked their coffee just so they could get out of the conversation. But it wasn't like they were going to talk about Abby, no one ever talked about Abby not anymore, especially not with him, he wasn't good at the emotional stuff so no one really bothered trying with him. Maybe that was why Tiffany felt she could talk to Jack.
It took Jack a while to say much at all to her blunt assumption. The thought had been in the back of Jack's mind for a while now but he had been trying not to think like that, he started to think like that thenit was like giving up hope that she would ever come back but he couldn't just keep lying to himself and he knew he couldn't lie to Tiffany either. "I think she is too, she wouldn't just leave, not for this long." He said saying it but feeling detatched from the words, he hated to agree with her but he knew Abby and he knew she wouldn't take it this far. She wouldn't put everyone though all of this no matter what her motives were.

tiffany laughed, a musicbox kind of laugh. it was special and not many people ever really got to hear it. but she likes jack's quirk, therefore, he was occasionally welcome. tiff was such a fucking maze you could look at it from up high in a helicopter and not know which way was right. if there was anything tiffany could pride herself in it was her complexity. she had once told abby they could make a whole subject about her and not know where to start. abby had smiled and suggested with those same brightblue eyes "how about the beginning?" stupid, obvious answering bitch.
ever since tiffany had seen...what she'd seen, she'd come to blame abby for everything. everything abby had ever done wasn't fair to tiffany. and most importantly her last living moments were unfair to tiffany.
"i guess i can't blame you if it's the truth. but you have to admit, i wouldn't be tiffany worthington if i was nice." and wasn't that the truth? a nice tiffany worthington was like a living abigail hollows or a...skinny santa clause. completely natural.
she looked down, avoiding eye contact. "well, at least i can always count on you to be realistic and honest with yourself, jack. siena's off in her own fantasy world, skipping meals like it'll bring tiffany back. and damien's just pretending she left because she felt uncomfortable around him now. they need to wake up, i'm sick of her name being taboo, you know?" tiffany said, looking to jack of all people for all the answers she so desired.
why had abby been killed? and why had tiffany been the one to have--forget it. nothing tiffany had or could have seen would help now.

Dispite her many flaws there were lost of things Jack loved about Tiffany, she had a sense of humor and she didn't take things to heart the way the others did. He liked how she threw it back at him just as bad as he threw it at her. He liked that they had a lot in common, and it wasn't just that they were both jerks and seemed to hate almost everyone, it was more than that, they just seemed to understand eachother the way other people didn't understand them and how they were and why they were the way they were.
A smirk sprinted across Jack's lips as he raised his mug to his it and took a sip of his coffee "Hey, I never said anything about that, I couldn't imagine you any other way. I'd like to say I wouldn't have you anyother way but you know I can't lie to you" he lied to most people, he was a great liar, it was something he had perfected over time but Tiff always knew when he was lying, took a good one to know one, that was Jack's explaination for it anyway.
Jake found himself nodding in agreement with the blond again, it was easier the way everyone else was pussy footing around it, lying to themselves thinking any day now Abby would stoll back into town laugh. Her name being taboo didn't bother Jack that much though, not talking about her was just simpler, he didn't have to think about what he already knew, he didn't have to imagine what had happened to her if no one talked about her it was easier to lock it up. Not denial just self imposed ignorance.
Jack didn't have any answeres, he had his honestly and he knew what he thought but that was all. "I just can't think of why... or how." he mumbled into his mug before taking another sip. This he had thought of, when him and his friends were landed with the blame he had thought of who could have done it. He was sure it wasn't anyone that the cops had pointed their fingers at, Damien was too wrapped up with her, Siena was far too innocent to even think of something like that. And Tiff, she was a bitch, she did want Abby's place but he was sure she couldn't go that far.

"ha. ha." tiffany said with a straight face, taking a sip of her coffee and pointedly look the other way, silently telling him she could most definitely find someone better to sit with. all she saw in the coffee shop were couples. she let out a noise of disgust and turned back to him. "all the couples in here make me sick, i mean really. pda much? grosss." she sang the last word and rolled her eyes, tiffany was not a relationship kind of girl. that wasn't to say she was a whore either, she was just...a tease. unless she liked you, then you got more attention then the rest. sometimes bad attention, she was like a little boy when it came to matters of the heart. if she had a crush on you, she would pick on you relentlessly.
lucky for everyone, she had yet to find that 'special someone'.
"honesty always was your best policy, jacky." she said with a smirk. much like jack thought, tiffany figured the reason she was so good at picking out lies was because she was such an intricate liar herself. much too good at something so wrong. she could pass a lie detector test with ease, because the key to telling a good lie was to stay calm.
tiffany bit her lip, god this whole situation was getting stickier by the minute. talking about abby helped her, but it hurt her at the same time. the more they talked about it the more afraid she was that she would slip up and tell someone what she'd seen. but it didn't matter, tiffany told herself, she hadn't even really known what she'd seen. she'd run off much too quickly.
"i don't think abigail was as innocent as everyone thinks she was." tiffany said honestly, thinking back to the times when abby and tiffany had been telling each other truly secret things. things, tiffany would never speak about again, as much of a bitch as she was. tiffany felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, signaling she had a text message, it was relatively early in the morning and the friends she had would most likely be asleep. curious, she looked at her blackberry rather rudely at the table.
tiffany had to look the text over a couple times before she understood what exactly she was reading. a text from abbyboo? but--"what the fuck." she breathed out, fresh tears springing to her eyes. she didn't know what to do, but suddenly she felt like she needed to get home and pack all her things and make sure her mother and sister were okay.
"i-i have to go." she said, leaving her coffee on the table, she grabbed her back and stood. but in her rush her blackberry slipped out of her hand and landed in jack's lap.
t e x t-- m e s s a g enow we're turning off the light its so very late at night. spiders crawl and fleas will bite, everything wont be alright. shadows dance across the moon, creeking doors and rising gloom. someones hiding in your room, and now prepare to meet thy doom. kiss the daytime world goodbye.from: abbyboo

Jack had to agree with her, he hated when couples were all lovie dovie when they were out in public, it was puke worthy. It was one thing giving eachother a kiss goodbye or holding hands but the way the couples around them where sat gazing into eachother eyes like they couldn't look away holding hands over the table and just being all gooie was just, gross. Jack couldn't ever imagine being like that, not with anyone ever, he hated it so much he could never be called a hypocrit and start to do it himself.
Him and Tiff looked out of place, they were by no means all gooie, if anything they looked more like enemied who didn't even want to be with eachother than a couple. Ew, the idea of him and Tiff was quite weird, sure he thought she was seriously hot, and he would if she wasn't such a tease but she was such a bitch it would never go further than one night, they hated eachother, even if they were friends they couldn't even have one single civil conversation.
Jack scoweled a little when she called him 'Jakie' he hated that name and always had, that was why Tiff, Siena and Abby had always insisted on calling him it, they all loved getting under his skin, especially Tiffany thought, the same way he loved to do the same with her. Jack's key to lying was he tried to make himself believe the lie while he was telling it, if you pretended it was real then how could you look like you were lying? "And your sweet disposition was always yours, Tiff." He said flatly before taking a gulp of his coffee.
Jack rose his eyebrow a little when Tiff bit her lip, that was another key to seeking out a lie, watching peoples body language, it was also a good way of telling if someone was hiding something. He had a feeling Tiffany was, but there was no surprise there.
He'd let it go for now, there was no point asking, there was no way he would get much of anything out of her.
Jack nodded in agreement again when Tiff said Abby and her innocent, everyone always knew her as the sweet and innocent girl that could hardly do any wrong but Jack didn't totally beleive that. Not after some of the things he had seen and heard over the years he had know the girl.
Jack looked baffeled at Tiff's reaction to her text, her urgency to leave until her phone fell into his lap and he got a glips of what had spooked her so much. "what the fuck tiff?!" hesaid just staring at the screen of her phone totally baffled. how was this possible.

tiff just shook her head baffled, she grabbed her phone from him and held it at arms length, like it was a piece of trash. well, now it was, and she was most definitely getting a new one, and a new number. hell she was probablly going to change her name at this point. there was no way that was abigail, tiffany was certain of that much. and if some psycho killer was pretending to be abigail? that was even more fucked up.
"what the fuck tiff? how the fuck am i supposed to know what this is!" she shouted at him, causing a slight bit of a comotion. tiffany, who usually kept her composure so perfect you wouldn't know the difference between freaking out and totally okay.
right now though, with no composure to speak of, it would be easy to tell that tiffany worthington was really and truly upset. she cared about abigail, and this, this was just sick.

Jack had no idea what to think, he was sure it couldn't be Abby, they had already been over it, they didn't think she was even alive anymore and there wasn't a chance in hell that even if she was she had her phone. So who was this sick person? And why had they text Tiff? Maybe other people had got something too?
Jack frowned at her total melt down, he'd never seen her lose it before. He took her by the arm and lead her out of the coffee shop where everyone was looking at them and listening in. "This is the first time then?" He didn't knoe what to say, what was he meant to say to that? What were they meant to think or do about it?
OOC; Tell me about it!

tiffany gently extracted her arm from his grip, not to be all bitchy or anything, she just didn't like feeling like she needed him there for support. she didn't like relying on people, especially not when everyone was so reliant on her. at least, her entire family was, abby had been, and she relied solely on herself as well.
"yeah, it is, but--" she shook her head. "i think i need to go check on my mom and my sister." she said suddenly, she was nervous for them, this might strike someone as weird, her mother was a grown woman, and in normal circumstances would have been able to handle herself, and her sister, well tiffany never spoke of her, one might even have been under the impression she was sent away or dead or something. but no, her mom wasn't capable of getting herself out of bed in the morning and her sister wasn't either--for other reasons.

Jack let his light grip on her arm go and nodded, he didn't understand and he wasn't sure she would ever let him understand but he wasn't going to try and stop her was he. "Alright, but text me or something alright?" He was worried about her, he knew she was a mess, that was obviouse by how she was acting and that text could have been from any pshyco, and if they knew her number who knew what else they knew about her.
