• : * : • o u t f i tSloan had just moved into her apartment, and she'd hardly spent anytime in it. She didn't really like being alone she wasn't the type. But she didn't want to see Chase, and Jesse was her parole officer, it'd be weird to hang out with him. Plus, the only person she really wanted to see was Jack.
She walked up to his floor and knocked on the door. they'd talked about hanging out today. Granted she was a little early, and she hoped Jack didn't mind. She was just so excited to see him and she didn't really know why. Even with her ex in LA she'd never felt like this. Still, she doubted Jack had the same childish feelings. It'd been five years. They'd both changed so much. Still, she didn't care. She still got the same feeling when she looked at him. He felt like home, like everything was going to be okay.

Jack hadn't long got out of the shower when he heard a knock at the door. He glanced at the clock a little confused, he knew he wasn't usually the earliest of people but surly he wasn't that late that it was time for Sloan to turn up. He walked to the door in his open white shirt and dark jeans and opened it expecting it to be a neighbor complaing or something cause it was too early to be Sloan.
Or so he had though.
So he was a little surprised and awkward when he opened the door to her. He wasn't one to be shy or embarrassed but Sloan was, well he'd known her when he was 14 so it just seemed a little weird. "Oh, your early" he said as he buttoned his shirt up enough so that his chest and abs were covered. Erm, come in" he said taking a step back as he fumbled with the rest of his buttons.

• : * : • "I'm sorry, I'm early." Sloan said seeing how flustered he was. She hadn't meant to make him feel that way. She just didn't really have anything else to do. She didn't think he'd mind, but apparently he did.
"I can come back if you'd like." She said, looking unsure. She didn't really know what else to say. It wasn't like she looked much better. Her stomach was bare, short shorts, cleavage all out in the open. Her philosophy was if you got it flaunt it.

Jack shook his head "No, it's fine I just wasn't expecting you, yet." He assured her. He couldnt help but look her up and down, being as subtle as possible of course. There was no deniying that she had turning into a fox over the 5 years she'd been away. She wasn't the cute girl he had know she wasn't a girl at all anymore. She was a woman and a hot one at that.
he quickly snapped himself out of it and the same time snapped himself out of the awkward fuss he'd got himself into. "What are we doing then?" he asked just as Milo came down the stairs from the roof, he looked at the girl and assumed she was just one of the many that Jack brought back but once he got closer and caught her sent the dog got all excited and ran over, he remembered her.

• : * : • Sloan's face lit up when she saw the dog, not realizing the fact that Jack was looking her over. She was just used to it at this point in her life.
"Milo!" She exclaimed and bent down to play with him. She missed the dog too. He'd always been so sweet.
"Who's a cute doggy, oooooh who's the cute puppy." She said like she was talking to a baby.
"What do you want to do?" She asked with a smile and stood up facing Jack. Sloan felt the urge to pounce on him but she knew that wasn't truly an option. Jack Dominic Sincalir had gotten hot.

Jack rolled his eyes at her and the dog. Puppy, yea, right he was an old man now thought you couldn't tell he was just the same as he had been as a puppy.
Jack couldn't put his finger on what it was but it wasn't just how hot she'd got that was making it hard to keep his eyes off her. He wouldn't believe it was that the feelings he had had for her were still there, it had been too long for that hadn't it? She'd been gone to long and nothing was the same any more. But what else could it be?
He shook the thought from his head "Erm... " He had no idea what they could do really, the main aim was to catch up and what they had missed of not talking for over 5 years but just staying around his appartment was a little... drab.

• : * : • Sloan waited for an answer but figured none was going to come out of his mouth. When they were little Jack had always made the decisions. He'd say left she'd go left, if he said kiss a monkey's ass she'd probably ask which cheek. Things had changed though. For once in her life, Sloan had a backbone that was stronger than most people's. She didn't depend on someone. She was a trouble maker, outgoing, wild, strong and tough, street smart, and independent. She was far from the girl she used to be. In some ways it was good and in other ways it wasn't. She didn't have the money resources like she used to. She was sure she'd lose her housing in a month or two. Then she'd be jumping from friend to friend. Still, she took what she got and worked with it. When you have nothing for 5 years, you learned to appreciate freedom more than anything.
Sloan waited a little longer and laughed a little. She took up a deck of cards from her purse and sat on the couch, folding her legs underneath her.
"How about Go Fish?" she asked and started passing out the cards and then mixing them in a pile. They'd always played that game when they got bored. A time when she had a better life.
"So, I heard about your friends." She said softly and looked up at him. "I'm really sorry Jack. That's gotta bite." She said shaking her head. She knew how it felt to lose someone you loved, but she hated when people said, I understand. Everyone's situation is different, people can't ever understand what someone is going through.

Go fish, it was nice to know somethings could still be the same. He laughed a little and sat down opposite her with a smile on his face until she mentioned his "Friends" she was meant to be his escape from all that, his way of forgeting, blocking it all out like it didn't happen. When he was around her it made it easy to forget, she was from a time before he knew Abigail, before he knew Siena. It was just so much worse, that they hadn't sorted things out, she'd gone hating him, or so he believed. He'd broke her heart and not had the guts to fix it and now she was gone.
He looked down trying to make it look like he was looking at his cards but he knew he wasn't fooling anyone especially not Sloan. "I'd rather just not... talk about it" he hadn't spoke to anyone about it and he had been avoiding everyone that would make him like Tiffany and Damien.

Jakc had no where he would have turned if she hadn't come home. He only had Damien but it just wasn't the same talking to him, he knew Siena and he knew Abby, he couldn't handle holding jack's issues on his shoulders as well as his. And there was Tiff but it was the same with her, even if her and Siena hadn't been the closest Tiff had so much going on right now Jack being near her at all wouldn't help. Or that was what he thought.
Not that he was talking about it either way, he knew he would have to eventually otherwise he would just burst and go mad, like he had with his mother, he liked to try and keep it all in but there was only so much he could do.
"Erm... Not a lot really, I started college..." Jack told her slightly hesetently, he didn't think she would exactly be over the moon that he was in college following in his pops shoes, studying law. "and the only reason i got in was because I went to rehab" it was odd, thinking back that far, it seemed like so long ago but it was since she had left so she wouldn't have known would she? He'd rather go into detail about his 'secret' rehab stint than talk about college, which was odd it was usually tthe last thing he wanted to talk about but if he was talking about that then he wasn't talking about becoming a lawyer.

Damn it, she hadn't taken the rehab thing at all, she didn't seem to have even heard it never mind been shocked. He wasn't like that when he knew her so he had just assumed it wouldn't have seemed 'that' normal. Then again neither was what he was doing in college since he hated his father and the way he was, especially his job.
"Law..." He said seeming the exact opposite to proud, he hated it and he hated his father but there was method to his madness. Following in his fathers footsteps was the only way his father was going to leave Jack with anything in his will. Jack had been born into his cushy, rich life and he had no idea how he could handle being cut off from daddy's riches. He probably couldn't and he sure as hell didn't want to find out.

Jack picked up a card as if to occupy himself. It didnt work, crappy card. "I guess its good, I mean, I'm really good at it but its... Do i really wanna waste 4 years become something I'll hate?" Jack wasn't much of a dreamer, he didn't need to be, sure when he was a kid he dreamed of being a pro footballer but honestly jack didn't really know what he wanted now.
"What are you doing now?" He wasn't just asking because he wanted to know if she was planning on uni but if she was it made him hopefully that she was sticking around, he was holding back with her a little becuase he didn't want her to dissapear again and leave him high and dry.
