Ronnie decided she didn't like school much, she'd finally gotten in, but it wasn't worth going. The boys here weren't that cute and the teachers weren't nearly as agreeable.. plus they had no idea whose daughter she was. Besides, it wasn't like Ronnie had some high hopes. She could get on the cheer team or soccer team like at home, she'd come a little too late. Missed tryouts. Damn it. Those were the things that made school bearable, popularity and sports. Not to mention the drugs and boys...
Here, she wasn't the head cheerleader, just a nobody who had no reason to be here. She couldn't say she'd been in rehab, sent by her mother. Ronnie rolled her eyes and took a drag from her cigarette. So far she couldn't find anyone with a blunt or booze they were willing to part with. She doubted anyone here had any coke.
Ronnie leaned against the railing of the bridge and looked down at the stream. If she were a fish maybe she could swim back to New York.

Chase was on undercover duty today. The Chief decided that he needed someone invisible on the streets to keep an eye out, patrolling was the most boring thing to do while undercover. Chase has a variety of things he was able to do, catch hookers, lock up dealers, and take down crime lords. In his short time in the Richmond PD. Chase has cleaned up the streets faster than any cop in the department. He was man of the year basically.
Deciding he needed some thing to do to keep him awake. He parked across the street from the bridge. There was a look that junkies had. A look that Chase could see. Fear, confusion, wondering when and where they will get their next buzz. Chase was a mastermind at UC work.
Walking to the bridge Chase checked his gun in his jacket pocket quickly, it was cocked and on safety. He wouldn't need it, it was simply for protection.
A young girl sat on the bridge and he knew this was not the time of day that a normal girl should be here. She fitted the description that an older woman left with Chief. Chase approached the girl and he pulled his badge and he said "Miss, I am Chase Jackson, Richmond Police detective. Can I ask why you are out here at this time of day?" He wasn't trying to sound rude, he was just curious.

Ronnie looked up at the cop, but didn't shift her stance, and instead of answering right away, she took another drag from her cigarette, her blue eyes watching this detective. "School sucks ass, and I hate this town and just wanna go home." She said frankly.
Ronnie had done a lot by the ripe old age of sixteen. She had more sexual experience than some college kids, knew how and where to get drugs in New York City, had a wealthy mom, been to rehab. And now she could ad being pestered by a cop while she skipped a school she wasn't even sure had technically let her in for good.
"I don't think you can arrest me for skipping school," She said. What was the age for buying tobacco in this state? Was it 18 like most places or was this hicksville enough? Either way, he didn't know she was only 16. She hardly looked it.

Chase smiled and looked at her, He was going to keep his cool and not let some little girl get the best of him. Besides, if she was going to be unwilling to cooperate, he could still arrest her. He nodded and he looked at her and he smiled again.
"No you are right, I cannot arrest you for skipping school." Chase smiled and looked at her and he asked "Did you need help with anything, or did someone send you out here?"

Ronnie raised her eyebrows. "A girl can't just take a smoke break on a bridge? No one sent me here." Not to the bridge anyway, her mother sent her to this godforsaken town...
She gave him a little smile though and said, "I don't need any help, but thanks for offering." It was always good to get policemen on your side. Just in case anything went wrong.
