]A groan left Lucy's lips, as she closed her eyes and fell back against her bed. Laying down she found she was laying on things, and groaned as she moved again. School supplies had flooded her room it seemed. New notes books untouched three new binders, a new planner, packets of pens and the like all over her bed while her new back pack laid on the foot of her bed. She kicked it with her foot but that didn't make her feel any better. School was going to start in a few days, and while she tried to prepare, she couldn't force herself to admit that she'd missed the whole summer without even noticing it was there. Everything had been all about Abigail this summer, and it seemed like after three months of nonstop thinking about about her, she seemed to stop haunting her. Now something else was looming ahead, nights were she would have too sleep and when she would be forced to be with people all the time. She groaned, and opened her eyes looking out her window.
It wasn't midnight yet, when she had the idea, she needed out of her house. She grabbed some things from around her room, no way would she let the summer pass without doing this at least once. She smiled, and less than an hour thanks to driving a little too fast she was out at the lake, she could hear partys going on, but she didn't care. She started to walk around the lake, it reminded her of the one at camp, she'd missed camp this year, she sighed camp. Camp made her think of them, her best friend, Veriona Spencer. But mostly it made her think of the only boy she'd ever thought of in a way that made her have butterflies. She blushed as she thought about Duclan, and decided it was time to take a swim.
Stripping off her top first and than her pants, she stood there bitting her lip thinking about jumping in the water and going for a swim, she didn't know why she stood there but she did and looked at the water, until she remembered she didn't bring a towel, she bit her lip, she'd be wet. Suddenly she wasn't sure if she should, "Should I go or not?" thinking out loud she asked the air, like the earth would give her a sign.

Music, booze, girls in bikins, it seemed like the perfect set up for Declan, he had always loved a good party, the problem was, this wasn't a good party, neither had the one he had been to the night before. His problem? The people here, they were just so, blah, they weren't even worth his time winding them up and the girls weren't much to his taste. Sure they all looked pretty good but they didn't have that fire he looked for when he went after a girl. He was awfully picky even when it came to a one nighter. Typical for boys as spoild at him I suppose.
So boredome has drove him away and he was just wandering around the lack when he saw a scantaly clad girls hovering on the edge of the water. As if it was an automatic reaction he walked over and as he got closer realised it wasn't just any girl but one her knew at loved... to mess with. Lucy Hollow's bless her and her naivity, anyone with a brain could tell Declan was a huge jerk but she still had that special little place in her heart for him.
He walked up behind her making sure to stay silent. He was debating whether to shout and make her jump, everyone in this town was always so jumpy cause some chick had gone walk-abouts. He hadn't listened long enought to hear it was Lucy's sister. He couldn't have cared less really.
"Ooo such a tough decision." he teased saying the first work quick and loud just to make her -hopefully- jump. It seemed even the little victories of winding the girl up made Declan laugh. He couldn't for the life of him figure out why that was but he loved it. She just made it so easy.

Lucy looked at the water, walking towards it. She remembered days at this lake splashing around with her sister, she'd learned to swim in the this lake, she smiled. Remembering when Abby taught her how to swim, and taken her out for ice cream afterwards.
The more she looked at the water in the lake, the more the water morphed into another lake she'd loved growing up. Back at camp, that lake. She'd always loved the water there but never really spent a lot of time in it. Scared that Duclan would laugh at her in a bikini, she knew Spencer had, she didn't have boobs back than now she'd filled out a little bit more, and she thought she looked okay.
Had she known Duclan was going to be there though, she would have kept her shirt on. As it was she didn't notice him while she thought about everything, until it was too late and he spoke from behind her. She jumped and not only jumped but she fell into the water. Blushing like made, he'd surprised her and made her leap away from him and turn around to look at him. She blinked a few times staring at him before yelling, Duclan!" she yelled looking at him. She'd fallen into the water a little bit, and splashed now she was wet.But that didn't matter.
"Duclan!" she was so surprised, she covered her mouth with her hand for a second, before asking him. "What are you doing here?" she asked shocked at seeing him here. She dropped her hand, and remembered she was in a bikini, and crossed her arms blushing more trying to hide her body. Oh my god I can't believe I fell in front of him.

The cheeky smirk that crept onto Declan's lips managed to keep a laugh in when she fell in. That was even better than he had planned, a little spook would have been funny but that was just awesome. She never failed to amuse him, he'd give her that.
Dec never really thought back to the camp days, they didn't really stick out to him that much, none of his childhood did, it was just one long blur of getting to the good bit, the being older, the here and now, the time and place he lived for and the only one he really thought about. He wasn't one to reminis on anything, any thoughts to camp just lead him up to people not events. Like he had disconected himself from anything that had gone by more than a few days before.
"Right now I'm trying not to laugh at you, come on"He said and offered her a hand to help her to her feet again. You could tell by how he was with Lucy why she fell for his crap, sure she was a little naive but he was just so nice to her, so much nicer to her than he was to most others, it was his way of keeping her in the game, making her feel special, like no matter what he did she was always there. It was all just a con but a reletivly convincing con for a pool love sick and vunerable girl.
"Long term though, I've moved in with my Granny Bee. I was getting bored of Long Island" Declan had moved around a lot, from one parent to the other and back just for a change of scenery, to add to that his parents never stayed in the same place for long either, always upping sticks for more profitable places to live but this was the first time he'd kind of gone on his own, his granny bee didn't really take much intrest in Declan, she just gave him a roof over his head and left him to it. He loved her for that, unlike his father who was always meddling and sticking his nose in.

The water was cold, and it took everything not to shriek from the sudden shock of the cold water on her. She'd forgotten how cold the water could be, she'd just been thinking about going out into it, and never coming back. She sighed, and blushed when Declan spoke, she felt like such a fool, she blushed but took his hand, and got out of the water with his help.
She kept one arm around her, trying to hide the spot where her ribs stuck out from all the weight she'd lost this summer. Once she was out, she noticed how close she was to him, she took a small step back hoping he wouldn't notice. She'd just been thinking about him, missing him and he was here now, she couldn't help but smile, but wait, what was he saying, he moved in with his grandmother.
"So wait your living here now?" she asked shock in her voice, she was excited but more than a little bit nervous about that. About Declan being around he was in high school to and she had a little bit of a rep as a nobody, she didn't want him to know that, but in this second it was over shadowed in the thought that he would be around more, she would actually get to see him.
She smiled, "Why didn't you tell me you were coming to Richmond?" she asked trying to hide the pout on her lips that he'd been here and she didn't know. She blushed, but she was still happy he was here, Declan would get her mind off of Abby, and she could see him more. "I would have tried to see you sooner, she paused and wrapped her other arm around her, "Sometime were I had more clothes on she said blushing again. At least her cheeks were warm, the rest of her was a little cold from her swim.
ooc: Opps I feel like a fool now. I'll fix that!

Of course Declan noticed her take a step away from him, he was pretty observant especially when it came to people and their reactions. He was good at reading people and the only way he was good at that was by taking in all the information from all the little body language. He had been thinking about her since he had moved to Richmond, hell he'd thought about her before he decided, she was part of the reason he was there in the first place but the difference was that he wasn't thinking about her in the same way, he didn't miss her he missed the fun he had messing with her. He'd been thinking of things he could do, the games he could play with her not about the good times they had had.
The boys shoulders shrugged like it was no big deal he was living in town, he moved all the time so it really wasn't for him "For now yeah, probably for the rest of the year, until school ends I guess" That was just an estimate, it would have been a good idea to stay until the end of school but that depended on whether he got itchy feet or not. He usually did. Living here wouldn't change how he saw Lucy, knowing she wasn't the most popular school rather than just assuming wasn't going to make a big difference to him and because he was heartless neither would knowing her sister and poofed into thin air, in fact, if anything it would just make him pray on her vunrability more. Give him more leivrage.
He smiled that subtle but heart melting smile of his and looked down, he really did know how to play his cards and make her fall for him "Well, it was meant to be a surprise, I was gonna sort of just turn up at yours but I kinda... dropped my phone into the pool the day I got here and lost all the numbers in my phone" This was a lie, he had been thinking of a way to make the most impact when she first found out he was in town but ah well, this would do.
"I've only been in town like 5 days so it hasn't been that long." Declan had just been keeping his head low for a while, not drawing too much attention to himself he didnt want lucy or veronica knowing her was here just yet but the cat was out of the bag now. He laughed a little at her commen and pulled off his jacket and put it around her shoulders, he was no gentleman and he couldn't care less if she was cold but he was good at pretending to be if he wanted to.
OOC;; Awe no its fine just thought I'd point it out thats all

Lucy smiled when she looked at Declan, she'd had no idea he was going to be here, no idea when she'd see him next. She'd been hoping for a text message, maybe he'd gone to camp and noticed she wasn't there, maybe he was worried about her, but she'd gotten no word from him. She just sat around and waited to hear from him, thinking about him, but trying not to think so much. Most of the time she thought about Claire and Henry, from her favorite book, The Time Travlers Wife, he was her Henry, randomly in her life, and now he might be here for a year. "Thats cool," she said with a smile trying not to show how happy she was inside that he would be around. "Your going to go to Richmond Academy right?" she asked bitting her lower lip, that was the main school for everyone, but there was another little school not to much farther that some went too.
Lucy was so nervous around him, she'd forgotten how he made her heart sped up when she talked to him in person. His smile made her want to melt, like something warm and jittery in her stomach, she thought were butterflies. "Oh" she said smiling at him. She blushed and looked down, "Thats sweet, but you should have told me, I've been texting you...I thought you weren't talking to me..." she admitted to him. She didn't meet his eyes, for another moment, before looking back up at him when he put his jacket around her.
She looked back up at him, "Oh thanks," she said, grabbing it and holding it closer to her. She snuggled into the jacket it smelled like him. She tried to think of something cool to say but as always around him her brain was a bunch of twitchy thoughts. "I um. I missed you this summer. she said. Bitting her lower lip, "Did you go to camp this year? she asked him, trying to think of something to say.

Declan nodded before stepping to the end and sitting down hanging his feet into the water expecting her to do the same, hopefully not falling in this time. "I start next week I think, if I even bother turning up." He shrugged. He had always hated school he dodged half of his classes but he was that frustrating type of guy who always managed to get the top marks in the class, like he already knew everything he missed in class. He was incredibly smart though he tried not to act it. Bunking classes, smoking weed, partying all night then coming to class and passing out during a class, he was the one you exspected to be getting kicked out not getting scholarships but I guess thats the way the cookies crumbles isn't it.
"I would have told you if I'd had anyway of getting in touch with you, my gran didn't even have a computer." Lie. His grandmother wasn't your traditional old lady, she was one of those crazy ones, she still went out and partied at 67 years old, it was only a month or two ago she had gone sky diving. She was the one member of the Thorne family Declan actually liked even if she was a bit barmy. Well more than a bit, he wondered why none of it had rubbed off onto his father. apparently his grandad had been the exact opposite and thats where the boringness had come from.
He laughed a little and smiled at her "Why wouldn't I be talking to you?" with a roll of his eyes he looked across the lake at the lights from the party he had ditched, even from the outside it looked a bit drab and boring. "Yeah, me too. I didn't no, I went to Paris for the summer this year." he told her, it had been pretty good, he loved europe; the people were just crazy there and so was everything else. "Did you go? I know Veronica didn't did she?" he knew she hadn't, he kept in touch with her a lot more than he did with Lucy but he didn't let Lucy know that, he wanted her to feel like she was special.

Lucy couldn't count how many times she'd dreamed about Declan coming to her school on her fingers and toes. She'd thought about it all the time since they were younger, having her camp friends with no Abby at school. She smiled, she couldn't believe it was finally going to happen. She was finally going to be around Declan, even if he didn't stick around school he was in town, and this place wasn't big enough to loose yourself in, she was sure she'd see him. She smiled, and watched him before joining him in sitting down. "You'll like Richmond, it's a pretty ok place, she said thinking about it. "There are a lot of girls, and they always fight, but if you get over the drama, it's not too bad, she said smiling. She thought of her friends, Tiffany, Siena, and Caroline. "Maybe you can meet my sister Caroline," she said looking at him. Caroline was sweet and nice, Lucy loved her like a sister, even though she was her cousin.
"At least your here now, and maybe I'll see you at school," she said hopefully. She wondered what classes he was taking. They probably wouldn't have any classes together, but she still hoped they did. It would make her time at school easier.
Heat rose to her cheeks and she felt warm from it, warm enough she almost wanted to put her hands on her cheeks to warm them. She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, I haven't heard from you in a long time..I thought" she shook her head, "Nevermind it's silly, I'm just glad your still talking to me, she said with a smile on her face. She looked at the lake, the light reflecting on it was so pretty she thought. Like stars floating in the water. She shook her head, "Veronica's in college now, she's to old," she said, she thought about what to tell him about her summer. She didn't want to admit she'd been locked away all summer in her room, worrying and thinking about Abby, and breaking down. Her toes touched some sand and she smiled, "I was at the beach all summer," she lied and looked at him, "You know swimsuits and tanning," she was probably one of the whitest people out there, and she was talking about tanning. She was such a liar, she started to fiddle with her hair.

Declan didn't like many places and the places he did like he still got bored of them quickly but he'd take her word for it though imressed was hardly the word for it so far. He just found it a little, blah, average if anything. He loved the big cities, the wild life where nothing ever stopped, Chicargo had been the best place he had lived so far but even that wasn't hard to move from. "I'm sure I'll get used to it." he shrugged. "Besides, it's not the place that matters, its the people" he said with a smile and a wink implying he meant her.
The idea of school was just drab, he hated school, always had. "Probably, your in all the honours classes right?" Naive as she was Declan had always thought she was quite smart academically. Just an assumption and maybe he was wrong but she just seemed like the type. Uunlike him.
"I've been busy" was his excuse for not keeping in touch as well as he probablly could have. He raised an eye brow at her when she said she'd been at the beach, tanning, even in the dark he could tell he was more tanned than pale her but he didn't bother questioning it, he couldn't be bothered. He looked across the lake at the party again and had an idea. A sort of test to see if he still had the same leiverage over her as he used to. "I should get back" He said standing up. "You should come too" he said taking a few steps backwards away from her with that cute grin on his face.

Lucy thought about the people that were here, and didn't say anything. They had some twisted people here, she thought about Siena, and the cops climbing around the city with no leads, she smiled at him, but her smile seemed to fail. She thought about school instead, "Yeah all honors except for math, and orchestra," she said. She was no good with math, or science and wasn't taking the later this year, orchestra was an open class. "Are you taking any?" she asked wondering, she tried to think about him in an honors class it seemed off for some reason.
Her heart sank inside of her chest when he said he should get back. She didn't say anything though, just smiled and nodded her head, inside sad her time with him was over, until he spoke again. She bit her lower lip, "I don't know, she said but when she looked at Declan she stood up, she looked back at her car, she hadn't left a note at home. "I didn't tell anyone what was I doing, and I'm not really dressed for anything, she said pointing at herself. She stood up, but could she really let him go so easily? She hugged his jacket around her more, it swallowed her nearly twice, she was so tiny after a summer of starving herself.

Declan laughed a little, the look on her face clearly read that she was trying to imagine him with all the clever people that he clearly didn't fit in with. He nodded "Yeah, I've been top of my class in... well everything, in every other school I've been in"he said not bragging at all, if anything he sounded bored by it. He couldn't care less about his grades or school, why would you brag about being a geek?
Declan was expacting a little reslience, she wasn't going to just join a party half dress without a little pursasion. "Oh come on, just text someone, we wont be there long anyway." he then looked her over and what she was wearing, it was hard to see past the fact tthat she was pretty much just skin a bone, Declan had never really liked super skinny girls, it was quite sickening. "And you're better dressed than most of those girls over there, you can even keep my jacket" He said with a sweet smile "Please" he added, how could she say no? Really...

When Lucy thought about Declan, she thought about him as a summer person. Down by the docks at camp, and all around camp, she thought about the time she'd spent with him, which was always summer. So she'd never really imagined him as someone who would be in school he was summer, she hadn't thought he'd be top of his class, she smiled at it though, so not only was he cute but he was smart.
She bit her lip a little bit harder when he spoke. Could she really just text someone? She wasn't the one who usually planned these sort of things. She looked back at her car, "My phones in my car, let me grab it." she said getting up and grabbing her phone, and the shirt she'd been wearing before she'd stripped for swimming. She sent out the text, and slipped on the shirt, it was a halter so she tied it quickly still wearing his jacket. She shoved her phone in the pocket, and walked back to him, playing with her hair in her hand. "Are you sure this is okay? I wasn't invited to the party," she shoved her hands in the pockets of the jacket, she tried to hide herself inside of his jacket.
