IF HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS then i'd rather home alone THEN HAVE NO HOME WITH YOU* * * * * * * * outfit, walking through the botanical gardens in richmond was nothing like walking through the ones in new york with dash. it had murdered both of them for her to leave, but it was better this way. they could both focus on their lives instead of each other and just push forward, getting prepared for the day when everything would be perfect for them.
dressed up how she was, christine was more ready for a fancy shmancy dinner than what she was partaking in, but this was how she liked to dress, sort of vintage chic. it suited her, and it made her all the more...different and ready to take on the world as christine nicole trobiano, the single one. the more focused on herself one. to be honest, the old christine might have been afraid.
but the now one? she was fearless. not afraid of anything. this could make her dangerous, and reckless, and damn near scary--but it was exhilarating, the rush she got when she did something she wasn't supposed to, something her parents disapproved of! she was free from herself and from the world that kept her locked up.
chrissy smiled at the thought, her eyes closed in appreciation of the scent of lilacs and mint paired cleverly together. perhaps richmond wouldn't be so bad after all. perhaps she would find something here that would make her want to stay. christine was very flighty, she was all but packed and ready to leave if she felt like it--if things here got complicated. complications ruined everything.
for christine, everything had to be smooth sailing and clear skies. all that other crap that got in the way, lovelostheartbrokenruineddaysandnightsandbadgrades, it all made her want to run without looking back. the list went on even, into things that christine couldn't fathom at a time like this. she wasn't about have a panic attack about life here, in the richmond gardens--not without dash, who could calm her down like no other.
with a small smile at the thought of him, christine continued down the path and pulled a single cigarette from her handy dandy holder, lit it with a match (because matchbooks were way more vintage then lighters) and put it to her lips between two fingers. it was terrible to say, but smoking reminded her of new york city and dash and happiness.
so smoke she would, for if happiness was a ways to the warm gun, then so be it.

A new town, new people and new drama to cause. What could be better no one knew him, no one was aware of dodgy reputation behind that charming smile of his nore was anyone aware of the whole hearted cruelness behind it either. There was only 2 people in this new town that knew him, his nana, who he was temporarally living with until school ended, and Lucy but neither of them knew the one they should have, they knew the nice one, the one without his cunning games and alterior motives.
He wandered around, dragging his feet and letting them lead him wherever they felt like, he had decided that his first day at school could wait a day or two while he got to know his way around. Well thats what he would tell his nana when she found out and bless her she'd belive him. Before he knew it he found himself in some gardens, yuck, so not his thing but then again, who would think to come looking for him there and who would be there to notice it wasn't just tobaco in that cigarette he was smoking.
He wandered in as far as he could be bothered and dropped himself onto a bench taking a drag from the smoke he had in hand taking in the fresh mix of tobaco and weed.

after walking a couple more steps and admiring the flowers, chrissy stopped near the fountain, lifted her foot and put out her cigarette on the bottom of her shoe. the girl had class, but was all for practicality. turning around her eyes fell on a boy, sitting on the bench just in front of the fountain--behind her.
"oh, hello." she said with a smile. christine was never one to shy away from new acquaintances, she liked strangers. you could, in a sense, be whoever you wanted to be around them. they didn't know you, and honestly what were the chances you'd ever see them again? the air around the boy was very...peculiar, and it had come to christine's attention that there was more then just normal cigarette-ness in his cigarette. "nice cover," she said with a laugh, "but you might have to do better then that." she said, her face completely void of any sign that she would 'turn him in'.
chrissy wasn't like other girls here, she dídn't shy away at the sound of drugs or drinking, in fact, she embraced it! spending time in new york with her ex-but-i-still-love-you dash, had opened up her eyes to new things. and weed was one of them.
"share a hit and the next time i run into you, it's on me?"

Declan was well aware of the fact that his smoke was quite clearly a mix and not just your straight cigarette. He just didn't care if he got caught, by anyone really, even the cops would just give him a warning and take it off him. Big woopdy do. The only real reason he had them that way was to keep his granny naive, he didn't want to break the old birds heart, she always saw him as he goody little grandson and he realise he got more out of playing that part with her.
The boys head was leaned back on the bench back looking up at the sky when he heard a voice. He looked at her with a curious look, judging her for a moment, as he did with everyone, he always made an assumption on someone just on there looks, he liked to think he was good at reading a book by its cover. "Hey" He mumbled sounding quite unintrested.
He took another drag before looking at it and reguarding her comment and shrugging "Just a habit, its not like i smoke it in front of the people im trying to hide it from"he had always done it to stop it getting taken away by his father too, the man hated drugs so if he found a spliff or a baggie in his room he'd have to make the effort to buy more, this was it just saved him the bother.
With a small sigh he passed it over to her without a word. He wasn't really into sharing, something to do with being the only child. Well he considered himself an only child, his 'half brother' wasn't his brother just some unfortunate misstake of his mothers. "But come on, I'd say the chances of you running into me again are slim. Especially if you make a habit of hanging around places like this"he mused with a hint of sarcasm and a subtle insult to her choice of wandering here. He was only there by accident.

christine laughed and shook her head, "well, i don't know, you look like the type of guy who isn't opposed to a little risk." she pointed out, her careful observation was slightly obvious, smoking a weed laced cigarette during the day time? slightly risky.
she took a quick hit and passed it back to him, stifling a tiny cough with her hand and then a few more.
"not so used to that." she said clearing her throat. weed and tobacco mixed wasn't something chrissy had tried before, and she wasn't so...taking to it, let's just say. "exactly, which is why i seem to have lucked out and you, not so much." she grinned but shook her head, "i'm chrissy by the way, it only seems natural we should know each other's names after all we've been through together." she said dramatically.
"and places like this are perfect when you're trying to be free from the sameness of richmond. it's calm quiet and definitely a good place to hide out. but you know that." she said, smoothing her hands on her lap.
