Mikaela had been planning a trip to the beach for days. The weather was absolutely gorgeous today -- perfectly sunny, slightly breezy, and not a single cloud in the sky. So why not make a trip to the beach? Obviously everyone was going to be there. When the weather was nice in a small town like Richmond, pretty much everyone went to the beach. Plus, Mikaela always loved the beach. It was incredibly relaxing, and she loved the sound of the waves crashing and the feeling of sand between her toes. The quicker she got there, the better. Mika usually spent every single day of the summer down at the beach, but she had just gotten so ridiculously busy these last few days.
She was already dressed in her black swimsuit, white sun dress, and black flip flops, so she was ready to go. As always, Mikaela was dressed to impress, even if she was just making a trip down to the beach. But could you really blame her? There were always good looking guys down at the beach, so she needed to look good in case a cute guy caught her eye. Grabbing her car keys off the kitchen counter, she pranced out of her house and into her car before pulling out of her driveway and towards the beach. She was always a fast driver -- when she drove with other people, they were usually clutching anything and everything by the time they reached their destination. So in a matter of minutes, Mikaela could see the beach just a short distance away.
Soon enough, Mikaela was pulling into the beach parking lot, a smile playing across her lips as she turned off the ignition. Leaping out of her car, she grabbed her bag and ran onto the beach, holding in a laugh as she did so. She took her time after that, feeling the soft white sand tickle against her feet. After must rummaging and searching, she finally found the perfect place, and angled her towel to face the sun. Stripping off her sundress and flip flops, she laid down to get a nice golden tan, without the thoughts of her past or anything else going on. She was just going to sit back, relax, watch the boys, and have a nice afternoon.

sampson had been riding waves all day, he wasn't dressed like the rest of these fancy assholes out here, wet suit and everything, nah, that wasn't sampson's style. he could afford it, easily, but that just wasn't the point of surfing. sampson's idea of surfing was swm trunks and boxers. all he brought to the water was a jacked body and a hell of a lot of skill. not to brag or anything.
sampson was getting bored though, and he had decided, after a while, to turn back in, maybe join the volleyball game going on. when he was finally on the beach, he saw her. the sexiest girl he'd seen in a while. and as luck would have it, she was only a few feet away from where all his crap was...flip flops, towel, sunglasses, and a cooler full of the contraband beer.
he smirked, well this, this would get interesting.
he stuck his board in the sand, creating a little shadow, enough that it might disturb her sun. was this intentional? no. was it perfect to get her attention, hell yeah. so sam waited, sat down on his towel and pulled out a beer. let the games begin.

Oh, boy. Coming to the beach was turning out to be the best idea ever. The weather was absolutely perfect, to say the very least. Much better than Mikaela had first expected. The rays of the sun continued to soak into her pores, and the waves crashing against the shore were oddly soothing. A small smile crept across her rosy lips, and she wiggled her toes in the sand, enjoying the tingly feeling. She was currently lounging on the beach, her bright blue eyes closed as her long dark locks laid restless against her towel. The rays of the sun felt amazing. Maybe a little hot for her liking, but she'd survive.
Unfortunately, the sun suddenly disappeared for some unknown reason. What the hell? Mikaela opened her eyes and leaned up-wards, quickly noticing that a surfboard had been strategically placed to block the sun, as if placed on purpose. She spun towards the boy sitting nearby, her eyes narrowed as she readied herself to start some verbal argument. She hated ignorant people who were oblivious to everyone else around them. If it was some dumb surf kid, he was in for a rude awakening. Except when she looked at the boy, she was slightly taken aback.
Wow.
Okay, the boy was gorgeous. And his body was amazing. Still, he was blocking her sun. But I suppose Mikaela could deal with that... After all, she had found the cute boy she'd been looking for, right? Her glare suddenly softened as she raised an eyebrow, slowly licking her lips as a smile came across her features. "Okay, here's the deal. I'll let you keep that surf board there, but you gotta give me one of your beers," she mused, glancing down at the beer bottle in his hands as she spoke. He seemed to have a cooler full of them, so he must be able to spare at least one, right? "If not, well..." she trailed, smiling mischievously as she let him think of his own consequences. Who knows, maybe she'd pick up the board and throw it in the ocean? Or perhaps just snap it in half? (If she even had that kind of strength). Either way, the mysteriously cute boy better give her a beer.

while he was waiting for the lovely lady to notice him, sampson looked up at the sky. it was crystal clear, not a cloud in site, and the sun was absolutely blazing. now, sampson was naturally tanned, his skin was easily colored by the sun, and today especially, since he'd been outside all day--well that could only mean he'd be looking even darker. and in sam's world, the darker the better.
he put on his sunglasses, a satisfied little smirk on his face. if sam didn't look like the ultimate beach guy, he didn't know what was! when she finally spoke to him, sampson tried to look confused, but he didn't play that off well, so instead he laughed. standing, sampson set his board a little further away, his arm muscles buldging with the effort needed to dig his board into the sand.
"because i'm extremely charming, and i have plenty of beers, i'll share and move my surfboard." he winked and plopped back down on his towel, handing her a beer after they'd settled. "if not? come on, you've got to finish that sentence now. i'm intruiged." he said lazily, though he was intruiged. this girl was amusing, if only he knew her name...
"i'm sampson." he said lightly, holding out a hand for her to shake. the gentleman's gesture.
