no one really noticed when you just STOPPED EATING, 87 POUNDS and this all bears repeating - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - everleigh sat waiting for her chronically late brother. he'd offered to take her to the rhette for dinner, but seeing as that was so expensive and everleigh didn't want to waste the food...she'd opted for the diner. and all it's disgusting, calorie packed greasiness.
everleigh had lost eight pounds, and not of waterweight, she'd kept that off since coming out of treatment. she was trying hard not to relapse, but since annabelle hadn't been around, and no one really had been, she found it was easy to slip back into her old ways.
that's right, everleigh was relapsing. she'd dressed in baggy clothes, so as to hide the obvious signs from her brother. but, seeing as she was already too thin, it was hard to miss. everleigh hadn't wanted to disappoint anyone, but it was just so hard. she couldn't handle being fat.

Of course he was never on time for anything. It wasn't as if Thomas didn't care. He really wasn't trying to make it seem like anyone else's time wasn't important. Hell, if anyone's time really mattered to him, it was Everleigh's. He just seemed to have been born with poor time management skills. That and when he'd gotten out of class, he'd discovered a flat tire on his car. He wasn't the sort to stand around and complain, and he promptly tried to fix it, but as it turned out, he'd been neglecting the spare, and that was flat, as well.
Finally, Thomas managed to flag down a taxi and asked the driver to take him to the diner. He couldn't for the life of him understand why his sister wanted to eat there. He'd wanted to take her out for something nicer, but he'd let her decide, and if she wanted to eat at the diner, he'd be glad to oblige, provided she actually ate. She seemed to have been losing a little weight lately, and Thomas was starting to worry. Most of the time, he tried to let the girl live her own life, but he knew full well that she didn't always make the healthiest choices. Not that he could say much about making good choices. He just hid his better than she did.
Thomas paid the cab driver and hurried into the restaurant, eyes scanning the patrons. His sister was hard to miss. She was easily the thinnest person in the place. He wasn't about to point that out to her, though. It might just fuel her habit. Instead, he slid into the seat across from her and smiled. "Hey sis! Sorry I'm late... I had a flat." Sure, he'd been late before he'd encountered the tire, but it was nice to have an excuse this time.
ooc -- sorry it's taken me so long to reply! and sorry for the quality of this post! i need to get used to Thomas...

no one really noticed when you just STOPPED EATING, 87 POUNDS and this all bears repeating - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - eve smiled upon seeing her brother. seeing thomas so cheery honestly brightened her day. she loved her brother, to be honest, they had always been close. she wouldn't be surprised if the secrets among them were few, if any.
she laughed and spoke before he did, "what was it this time, helping a pregnant woman mid-labor to the hospital?" she joked lightly as the waitress stepped up to take their drink orders, now that everleigh's guest had shown up. the waitress was very pretty, and eve couldn't help but notice her eyeing thomas when she thought neither of them was looking. "water for me please, and my brother will have...a rootbeer?" she wanted to make sure she had it right. and she wanted to hint to the waitress that thomas was single.
everleigh was always trying to set her brother up with girls, not that he needed her help, she just liked to play matchmaker. "a flat? that sucks." since eve was staying in the dorms with annabelle back at richmond, she hadn't even bothered to get a car,she didn't need one--everything was in perfect running distance.
ooc: no worries love!!! i almost wish these two weren't related so they could just fall in love lmao! he's perfect!

His sister's face seemed to light up when Thomas slid into his seat across from her, and he couldn't help but grin. Even as skinny as she was, she was beautiful. He wondered if she knew that, but figured he wasn't really the person to tell her. Instead, he laughed at her suggested excuse and rolled his eyes. He'd just managed to rattle off his excuse when the waitress interrupted them.
She was pretty, and Thomas would have to have been blind or stupid not to notice. He eyed her appreciatively and offered her a smile. The girl didn't keep his attention all that long, though. His sister's voice drew his attention her way and he grinned at the easy way she remembered his typical order. Her rather obvious attempt at pushing him toward the waitress was amusing, too. "Yeah. Rootbeer."
As the waitress walked away, he made a big show of watching her hips sway. She's cute, alright, but you don't have to throw me at every attractive girl around, ya know?" he teased. He never would have done that to Everleigh. Then again, he was probably far more protective over her than she was over him. She tended to seem horribly breakable, and Thomas would give just about anything to keep her from being hurt again.

everleigh laughed and shook her head, "well, you know i can't help it! i like seeing you happy." she said with a smile and a slight shrug. "besides, if everything works out, we might be able to go on double dates soon." she told him with an innocent expression, casually hinting at a possible male-friend. not a boyfriend, just someone she thought was cute that she didn't mind talking to now and again!
the waitress brought their drinks and asked if she could take their orders. now for the hard part. if she went with a salad, she'd feel paranoid and worried that he might call her out on it. if she went for say, a burger and fries, she might actually have to take a few bites. and that would probablly set her over the edge for the rest of the week. but, it was worth a shot, french fries were easy to hide. "just a hamburger and fries for me, well-done." she smiled and looked up at thomas, not sure what exactly he could be in the mood for.

Thomas offered his sister a half smile. He really couldn't help it. He liked that she seemed to be so motivated by his happiness. He'd just opened his mouth to comment on that fact when her next words registered. Double dates?? That meant she had some guy in mind for herself, right??
Immediately, his eyes turned downward. Whatever mess he was feeling wasn't something she needed to see playing out. Once he was feeling guarded enough, he let the feelings go. Who the hell is this that's so worth her time?! he wondered. His brow furrowed and he began to feel like someone had punched him in the gut. God knows, they can't give her what she needs. The continuation of his thought process was unsettling to say the least. By the time he had himself under control again, he was beginning to wonder what the hell was wrong with him. Everleigh was his sister. Whoever she wanted to date was her business, and it certainly shouldn't be bothering him this much.
"Right. Okay. Double dates," he muttered, though his tone was far from the aloof sort of attitude he was going for. Fortunately, he was saved by the return of the waitress, who was trying entirely too hard to be cute. What he'd found charming just a couple of minutes ago was now grating on his nerves. "I'll have the same," he told her, though he wasn't actually sure what his sister had ordered. As it was, he wasn't exactly feeling very hungry anymore.
