Lucy opened her eyes, and jolted straight up. Her hands flying to her face to cover her eyes, while she felt her heart pounding inside of her chest. Her stomach dropped as she opened her mouth, to swallow whole a lungful of cold night air. Lucy staid that way for a few more minutes, until her heart stopped pounding and the last images of her nightmare drifted away. Another damn nightmare, haunting her every time she closed her eyes, she sighed, once she was calmed down, her turned her to side, and grabbed her alarm clock which was on her night table. She relaxed a little bit, and groaned when she eyes saw it was only midnight. Midnight, meaning there were hours of the night left and she knew she wasn't going to get anymore sleep than she already had. So she got up and went to her bathroom.
A shower later she was standing in front of her closet, in no mood too climb back into her pjs and snuggle with a pillow until she slept, an idea popped into her mind. It was summer, and what better way to stop her from thinking, that too surround herself in a mass of people? She took her time getting ready, before slipping on some sneakers, and putting her heels in the passenger seat of her car, she hated driving in heels, she got behind the wheel and left her house.
In a blur of time, and motion, before she really knew what had happened she was inside of the local club. The place was pretty packed, filled with people, and Lucy started too notice the flaw in her plan as she made her way to the drink bar, no alcohol but they had bottled water, and Italian sodas little drinks. She hated crowded places, especially when she didn't know anyone, so she kept her head down and made her way to the bar. When some people on their way to the dance floor went around her and started to shove her back and forth, she closed her eyes, wishing to be out of it, until when she finally was, and she still had her eyes closed so she fell to the floor. The people started to walk away without knowing what they'd done, and Lucy staid on the floor, her palms hurt, and she thought she might have twisted her ankle, and no one here was going to help her.

table-dancing at the club was something tiffany took pride in. she only did it when she was rather drunk, and sure that she wouldn't look like an idiot up there. dressed in a slinky silver dress, black lace tights, and black pumps, tiffany shimmied back and forth with one of her newest friends, some girl named macy or something. all she knew was that they were both blonde bombshells(tiffany being the better looking of the pair) and they attracted all the attention in the world.
her eyes were looking around for heads that weren't turned towards her and she spotted a small group of people, shoving some skinny chick around in a circle. lame--a mosh pit? come on, she could have made a mosh pit better then that. but the more she looked, the more she realized something was wrong. wait, was that--lucy? what the fuck! the girl was hardly even seventeen yet, and her dead best friends little sister!
ironically, tiffany had motherly instincts like a lioness, no one fucked with her 'cubs' in a sense, that's what lucy had been to her. at least when abigail was alive. tiffany knew she was dead, she had, in fact, seen her get killed--but she hadn't seen who. tiff hadn't told anyone, and she wasn't planning on it, instead she was banking on convincing herself that she didn't really know what she'd seen.
she reached a hand out, and a strong guy lifted her up off the table and she kissed him on the cheek with a showy-laugh before darting through the crowd to lucy.
"hey," she shouted over the music, crouching down to her, "what the hell are you doing here?!" she shouted still, moving to help lucy up. mother's did lecture, didn't they?

Lucy looked around at the crowd, scanning them for someone that she knew. She didn't see anyone, and than thought it was stupid to look for someone, even if she did know them, it wasn't like Lucy had any friends that would be here...or any friends at all. She sighed, she was staring at the crowd when the guys came and started to shove her around, she closed her eyes, and barely held back a scream. Why had she come here? She thought, she was so stupid.
Next thing she knew she was on the floor, about too burst into tears wishing she'd never left her bed or her house. Of course her little pity party on the floor was cut short by someone yelling at her. She didn't want to be yelled at right now, she would have ignored them if it wasn't a voice she knew. Tiffany. She looked up at the girl before she was on her feet.
She shook her head, "I don't know," she said bitting her lip and looking around the club. Tiffany had been one of Abigails friends, infact Lucy might have called them best friends, and she'd been one of those who'd stuck up for Lucy at Abigail's command when something happened. She looked around "I just wanted out of the house" she yelled loud enough to be heard over the music.

even though she was drunk, tiffany sprang into action. "come on, let's get you out of here!" she shouted over the music, giving lucy her hand to help her up, she led the girl through the crowd, slowly though, because it seemed like she was limping.
"did you hurt your ankle? what the hell were those assholes even doing, fucking fake mosh pit." she mumbled once they'd made it to the bathroom. pulling a couple paper towels out of the dispenser to wipe the back of her neck. then she turned to look at lucy. "do you want some ice for that?" she asked her sympathetically, a voice rarely heard.
tiffany had a soft spot for lucy, she always had, and especially now with abigail gone. "let me fix you up--" she said quietly, grabbing a new paper towel and using it to fix the makeup under lucy's eyes. "how're you doing?" tiffany asked in a quiet undertone, making a face, she didn't want to blatantly ask how she was doing without abby, but it was good enough.

Lucy looked at Tiffany there was something wrong with Tiffany she didn't know what it was, but she seemed off. It worried her a little bit, but she wasn't about to say no to getting out of here. The bathroom was about a million degree's cooler than the actual club, and Lucy was glad of that, as she limped over to the counter and sat down on it. She felt like curling in a ball, she was embarressed to be out in the club, to get hurt, all of foolish things she'd done. Instead she just looked at Tiffany, she seemed like she'd been having fun, and Lucy had to mess that up.
She looked at her ankel, "I think it's just a sprain," she tucked her hair behind her ear when she looked at it. "It should be fine until I get home," she said bitting her lower lip. She looked at Tiffany, and tried to smile when she helped with her makeup, did she look that clueless? she knew she did but she didn't know how to work it seemed without Abigail. "Thanks Tiff," she said looking at the beautiful girl infront of her.
She shrugged her shoulders, "I'm..." she let that wonder off, she couldn't say she was okay, she didn't want to lie so directly to Tiffany, but she wasn't doing ok. She looked at Tiffany, "How about you? Haven't seen you in forever," she said looking at the girl, she frowned. "I miss you..." she looked down. "I miss having you guys around," the house had so much life when they were all around without them. It was like something else besides Abby was dead.

tiffany nodded, and put her hand on lucy's shoulder, "it was hot in there, i think your eyeliner just got a little bit runny. it didn't help that those assholes were shoving you around." she'd get them kicked out. she had to do anything she could for lucy, especially since tiff had just let abigail die, she hadn't even tried to stop it, she couldn't have...she'd been terrified.
"why don't we go wait outside, i'll call us a cab." tiffany told lucy with a reassuring smile. if anyone else could see tiffany right now, they'd think she was hopped up on some kind of happy pill. lucy was lucky tiffany wasn't in a bitchy mood, she'd help her, but might make lucy a little miserable for ruining her night. but hey, it was tiff's choice to help. she couldn't stand by, not again!
"i'm alright." she lied, tiffany was worse then alright. she was being harassed, her best friend was dead, she was a witness, her mother was worse then ever and her sister stressed her out. tiffany was a wreck. but she knew how to hold it together. "i miss you too, luce," she said with a sad smile. "it's just...hard to be around you know?"

Lucy blushed, and shrugged her shoulders, "It was my fauly for just standing there," she said looking down she sighed. "I don't know why I thought coming here was a good idea," she admitted. She'd come here on an impluse and gotten hurt, that what she got for not thinking things through, she never learned that little trait from anyone around her. She nodded her head at Tiffany, outside sounded good, away from the pounding music of the club.
"Sorry to ruin your night Tiff," a blush creeped over her cheeks she hated that she'd done this to Tiffany. Tiffany said she was aliright, and Lucy just crossed her arms. "Liar," she said, she'd known her long enough threw her sister, watched her long enough to know she was lying, she smiled at her a little bit. It was nice that she'd lied to her, but she didn't need more lies, they made her feel like she was the only completely broken by her sister missing.
"I get it," she shurgged her shoulders. At one point Lucy had thought herself friends with Tiffany and even some of the other girls her sister was friends with, and then when Abigail went missing it was like some natural disaster, everyone was effected and felt it one way or another, Lucy while she hadn't really been friends, she was a reminder of what was lost collateral damaged that most couldn't stand to look at her, she reminded them to much of Abigail. She pushed herself up off the skin, "I can get myself home, if you want. I don't want to bug you anymore," she said looking into the mirror instead of at Tiffany.

tiffany grinned, "drinking and dancing is great way to forget your problems, you had the right idea! just got a little bit unlucky." tiffany assured her. "but that makes me sound a bit like a lunatic, doesn't it?" tiffany laughed. sure, she was drunk, but she could control herself well. she always had controlled herself well, abby often had asked her not to, just so they could truly have a good time.
"nah, you didn't." it was a lie, but tiffany didn't mind, lucy could probablly tell she didn't mind, the way she was acting. which was the rare nice side, once again. tiffany had been acting so nice lately, perhaps because she noticed she had no true friends--save for addison. at least now she had addy, a couple days ago she'd really had no one. "alright, you caught me." tiff admitted with a shrug, "it's hard, but it has to be even harder on you." she sympathized. "how are your parents doing?"
tiffany shook her head, "no, no, i have to accompany you home! it's so late and now it's more dangerous then normal!" tiff said, her voice rising worried, she couldn't let lucy go alone. "i don't mind, really, let's hail a cab." she said with no hesitation and nodded towards the door.

A smile started to appear on Lucy's lips as Tiffany spoke. She shook her head, "No you don't Tiff," she said reassuring the girl. She sounded sane to Lucy, when all she could think about was forgetting everything, it looked like Tiffany was already there. "You sound like you've been having fun," she said, wishing some of that for herself.
Maybe one of the reasons Lucy had never been able to really make good friends was because of the fact she couldn't stand to be lied to. Abigail had hated it too, but she'd always been able to get the truth out of people, Lucy just knew how to spot lies. She shrugged her shoulders at Tiffany. "I'm dealing with it, I mean I can't realy get away from it," she said, she lived in the same house as the missing girl, so she couldn't avoid her completly. "I don't know. I haven't seen Dad for a while, except when he tells the house keepers to get me out of the house," she said. Her father didn't like her being around when the police were there, and her mother was dead.
Lucy followed TIffany, "Seriously Tiff, I brought my car, don't worry about me. Go back to your party. You were having fun. I feel bad for messing that up," she was still the little kid sister even when her sister wasn't here. She was still the one who was messing up and apologizing for it, she sighed mentally, she needed to grow up something told her, but that was for another time. "Don't worry about it, I can drive myself home. Besides Jesse will flip if I don't have my car home tomorrow," her brother wouldn't care at all they'd only seen each other once since he'd come back in town. In the kitchen the other night before that she had no idea he was even home.
