Sure it was a Tuesday night. Sure she should be tucked neatly away in her dorm studying art history or writing that renncianse artists paper for tomorrow. But not Addy, she was playing pool by herself tipsy in a dark pool hall downtown. Clad in tight skinny jeans, black pumps and a form fitting black tank top Addy looked like a woman of the night. She glanced at her bag and scarf hanging up in the corner then bent over to take the shot. 5 stripe corner pocket.

She missed, "Shit!" she said aloud and began to re rack the balls to break them again. Addy took a long swig of her fourth beer of the night. She had ever intention of getting drunk, going home, and making an incredibly dark painting. This was the norm for Addy, she was the weird melancholy artist. She needed some light in her life, a whirlwind romance, a best friend, a fish. Something to take her out of this dark funk.

kendall had been sitting with his buddies, drinking and being raucous at the bar. nothing too bad, just rather loud. but they had every right to be, a bunch of good looking college guys, looking for something entertaining to do on a night where the parties seemed scarce? kendall had just finished telling a joke andwas mid-swig of his beer when he noticed her--playing pool all alone.

now that wasn't right, not in the slightest. he raised an eyebrow ordered two beers and took them right off the counter, muttering a quiet 'i'll be right back' to his friends as he made his way over to her. with his most charming smile, he set the second beer down next to her. "you know, i think you're supposed to get it in the pocket." he commented, watching as she re-set the pool balls. "mind if i join you?" he asked, nodding his chin towards the pool sticks lined up on the wall.

Addy's eyes went right to him like a moth to flame. How could she not notice that charming college boy smile plastered across his perfectly scruffy face. Addy bit her lip and her eyes smoldered sexily at him as he approached her. "Oh really? I wasn't aware I was playing pool." she said teasing him back in the flirty way she had perfected over the last years. Could he join her? Um duh, "If you want," she said trailing off and walking around to where he was racking the balls.

Addy bent over the table and set herself up, "But I'll break." she finished as she broke the rack and smiled. "I'm solids, you're stripes." she said taking a sip of her beer and sizing him up sneakily. "I'm Addy, and you are?" she said motioning her almost empty beer bottle in his direction.

"thanks," he said in that gruff voice he turned on when he was trying to be...manly. kendall had this goofy side to him you only got to see when you go to know him. and he was kind of hoping (even if it was too soon) that she could see his slightly more goofy side.

"break away." he gestured, pulling a pool stick off the wall. he pursed his lips before he spoke, "i guess i can deal with that. but everyone knows solids are better then stripes." that was completely made up and not true, but kendall felt the need to make her smile. "kendall montgomery," he introduced with a bow, as he came back up he winked.

most guys didn't act like that in public, but kendall was practically entitled to it. "sorry, i'm a complete nerd most of the time." he admitted with a shrug, taking his shot. he dropped a maroon striped ball into the back left pocket. but missed his next.

Addy smiled a big girly grin when he attempted to sound more manly. Cute, she thought, really cute. Addy loved guys with a sense of humor. No wonder she thought Joel McHale and Paul Rudd were the hottest guys in Hollywood, she was a sucker for laughter. Addy loved any and all emotion really. It fueled her more than anything, people and their feelings. She had been feeling so dark and lonely lately that a little light was definitely welcome in her life.

"That's why I called it!" she exclaimed about her decision to choose solids. She didn't know why, but she always called that color, perhaps because she liked having the eight ball. Weird, but she liked it none the less. She let out an infectious giggle when he bowed at her and introduced himself. He was definitely a goof ball. And she loved it. Guys who were to serious or gloomy bummed her out, and she didn't need that. When he apologized she frowned playfully but then retreated back to her mega watt smile, "No! It was cute!" she assured him as she took her first shot. "Plus I like nerds." she said with a playful wink. Addy loved flirting.

"well then, it seems you're in luck, miss addy, because i happen to be a very big nerd. but you don't seem the type of girl that falls for glasses wearing, tie wearing, brainy kids? you could easily do better then that." he winked at her, and watched as she sunk a solid, he nodded in approval, he'd have to step up his game.

"this is as cliche as anything, but what do you say we make this game interesting? winner decides what the loser's gotta do?" he suggested leaning against the pool table with both arms. stealthily, kendall had gotten much closer to her then he'd been before, their arms were almost touching.

and it definitely helped that his arms looked incredibly sexy in a black tshirt.

Addy's smile grew even wider when he referenced tie wearing geeky kids. "Well you know some men pull off the tie and glasses thing quite well." she said smiling to herself thinking of the many musicians who had recently taken up wearing large framed glasses and ties on stage. She thought it was sexy, but not as sexy as Kendall looked in that black t shirt of his.

Addy drew in a sharp breath when their arms almost touched. His skin so close to hers was electrifying. She quickly pulled herself together and smirked at his offer for the game. She propped up the stick next to her and said in a slightly seductive manner, looking right into his eyes and tossing her dark hair. "What do you got in mind?" she said stepping even closer to him, so close that she could feel his breath.

kendall raised an eyebrow as she stepped closer to him. he might come to really really like this girl, and she definitely knew how to handle herself. hoping he wasn't being too forward, kendall reach one arm around her, pinning her between himself and the pool table, his grin told it all though, he didn't often do this to girls he'd just met, and it was almost a little bit awkward, in a very sexy, very charming way.

he laugh, all be it slightly abashed and looked down before looking right at her. "i think the winner decides whatever the loser has to do. and i'll warn you, i don't like to lose." this much was true. kendall was rather competetive.

Addy took his advance hastily but decided that when he looked her in the eyes she was totally into it. She bit her lip seductively and and smiled at his offer and decided she liked it. Very much. She nodded, then put her hands on his shoulders and smoothed them down his chest, not something she'd usually do with a stranger but he was attractive and the chemistry was definitely there. "You go you're self a deal mister." she said in a playful tone of voice.

She whispered in his ear, letting her hot breath whip his skin as she spoke, "I won't go down without a fight." she said stepping of his arms and motioning for him to take his turn. She was extremely excited to see where this night would go. Her mind was just filling with things for her new sexy friend to do... to her.

this girl gave kendall the chills. good chills, actually, very good ones. the chemistry between them was automatic, he chanced a glance over at his buddies at the bat, all watching with envy and disbelief. they gave him a thumbs up, and flipped him off before hopping off the stools and walking past them on their way out.

one of the guys gave addison a quick slap on the ass before he walked out. "dude, not cool, at all." kendall said, shoving him alon, he shook his head. "sorry about that, my friends can be assholes." he admitted with a shrug, hopping she hadn't minded. drunk college guys and a pretty girl, a very pretty one, that called for obvious trouble.

"a little fight in a girl is pretty sexy," he told her, taking his turn. it then turned into three turns in which he sunk three balls, "you sure you want to challenge this?" he asked her, pointing at himself. if he won she might regret it. that was at least, if she was opposed to a second date.

polishing off his beer, kendall looked at her closely, "you look incredibly familiar, you know. are you taking any art classes at the university?" he asked her, it was out of the blue, but art based classes were the only ones kendall took. and he wouldn't be surprised if he'd shared one with her. they were very big classes, and when kendall was working he was in the zone.

Addison sipped at her beer as she watched him set up his shot when she felt a slap on her ass. Addy's cheeks grew scarlet and she turned and said "Hey watch it bud!" to the random groping stranger, but before she could even get into an argument, Kendall was there telling the guy to back off. She felt like a damsel in distress, a feeling she never really encountered, but she liked the feeling of Kendall wanting to protect her. It was sweet. "Thank you." she said kissing him on the cheek quickly before he took a his shot, sinking three balls.

Shit she thought silently. She wasn't going to stop playing though, she knew how to play pool well and wasn't going to just let it slide because she was wondering what was up Mr. Sexy's sleeve. "Psh, I think I can handle it." she said bending over and taking a shot sinking three balls as well, evening the score. "Yeah, I'm an art major." she said finishing off her beer and motioning over to the bar for another. "I love it, when I paint I feel like everything else shuts off and it's just me and my canvas." she said taking the new beer from the bartender with a thankful nodd. "Are you taking art classes?" she inquired wondering if he just noticed the bits of paint on her jeans or if he's seen her around before.

kendall raised an eyebrow, "well, looks like you can handle me." he said without thinking, "i mean it." he corrected quickly, looking around with an abashed little smirk. kendall wasn't really a blusher, instead he gave little smirks or laughs and ran a hand through his short hair.

"i'm an art minor, i major in art history." he told her with a smile, so he had seen her around before. "i'm talking a scenery class a basics class, and a figure drawing class. art history is another thing entirely." he told her, not at all trying to mask his proudness. kendall had quite the course load this year, but he handled it well. when it was something you loved doing you made time.

listening to her talk about something so passionately was incredible, not to mention he felt the same way. he couldn't deny that she really, really turned him on. "you read my mind. art is just...it's undescribable, the way it takes everything you see or feel and lays it out on a canvas. or a napkin, whatever you can get your hands on." he added, making eye contact.

Addy giggled a bit when he said looks like you can handle me. She thought it was cute when guys slipped up, it made them more real to her, like they were sincere about their actions. She watched him talk about his course load and realized where she recognized him from, "I have figure drawing this semester too!" she added then she watched him talk on about art.

It was so real, so tantalizing, so sexy the way he talked about art. She was so attracted to his words that she actually walked closer and closer to him as she spoke, mesmerized that someone out there could actually steal the exact words from her heart and say them. Who would've known that she'd meet a perfect hot art nerd in a dusty old pool hall. "Wow, you really stole the words from my mouth." she said giggling and biting her lip, then looking up to meet his eyes. "Art makes you feel like your part of something bigger than yourself, that for once you are the creator." she said lost in the daze of the conversation, forgetting about the pool game. She looked at his lips, the room went silent in her mind, all she could think about was what it would feel like to kiss him.

kendall laughed, "i knew you looked familiar. and you'll have to forgive me for not realizing it sooner," he winked at her and took his turn, it was getting close, and kendall was feeling quite a bit of the pressure. but he was confident that he was going to win.

he only noticed how close she was after he'd finished speaking, it was like a scene from a movie. and just like in the movies, kendall reached up and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "i believe i have to be careful around you." he admitted with a soft smile, she was stealing him away. he felt himself beind drawn in, she was a seductress, something magical. just before their lips touched, kendall hesitated, and that hesitation allowed a glass to fall from somewhere across the room and for them to jump apart suddenly brought back to dull reality.

"the creator. i like that. it could be the title of a painting." he said breathily, still shocked from moments ago.

Addy couldn't believe the fireworks going off between them at that moment. It was seriously like a movie, all time had stopped and when he brushed her hair away and leaned in for the kiss an indescribable feeling of anticipation roared in Addy's stomach. But of course, all tension was lost when a falling glass ruined their moment. Rain check Addy thought to herself biting her lip nervously and giving a slightly awkward "Yep" before leaning over the table and sinking all the solid balls but one.

"Looks like your in a whole mess of trouble guy." she said with a mega watt smile that could pierce even the coldest of hearts. "You've got one last shot, sink the 8 ball, and I'm all yours" she said with a playful wink as she sauntered back to where her beer was and look a long sip before waving him to go on.
