"My parole officer is a douche. I wouldn't help him with some case so he had the officer take me. And then I may have accidentally hit the officer." Sloan said with a shrug. Of course she'd hit him. In juvy, you get touched you throw a fist. Personal space didn't exist, it changed a girl. Especially Sloan, she'd been so vulnerable at the time. Things had been so awful. When she actually got out she didn't come back here she went to LA with her aunt and uncle. Changed her last name, didn't want anything to do with that past life. Nothing except Jack.

Jack laughed a little but couldn't help but feel a little weird, it seemed like she'd changed so much, of course he expected that but there didn't seem to be all that much of the girl he had known left behind.
After she attacked that girl Jack had been pretty worried, in fact it was a little while before that, right after her mothers death that she'd changed and he knew that effected you, he'd changed when his mom died but she had just done a total 180 and he'd always been to scared to find out the real reason. If she wanted to tell him she would have, right?
"How come your back then? after all this time?"He wasn't sure if he should ask or if she'd tell him the truth but he wanted to know.

"I got out a while ago actually. The cow got out of the coma." Sloan said, not feeling bad one bit. The girl deserved every hit. Calling her mother a bitch, right after she'd seen her father kill her mother. Then again no one knew that.
"Chase never visited me, Dad never did. I went to live with my aunt and uncle in L.A." She said with a smile. That town was home to her. Even through all the fights and trouble, it was home.
"They died in a car crash a couple weeks ago. So I moved in with my boyfriend. He got a little out of hand, so I bolted in the middle of the night." She said with a shrug. That was pretty much her life at the moment. She ran away from an abusive boyfriend to come back to an abusive town. Still, she didn't feel sorry for herself. It was life, no point in crying over it.

Jack nodded, "Yeah, I know, family friends remember." he grumbled not seeming too impressed at that at all. He'd never liked her, even when they were kids and their parents had set the up for 'play dates' Jack had hated her, she was a snooty little self absorbed cow, to be totally honest though the feeling seemed to be mutual.
Jack felt a pang of anger when she talked about her boyfriend. Guys hitting girls or even threatening them made him feel sick to his stomach. "I've got my own place now" He said having a lack of anything else to say.

"That's great, Jack. Got away from the old man." Sloan said with a small laugh. Jack's father had been so mean to her during the trial, she'd only been 13. A confused girl and he was acting like she'd killed 20 people. Her phone went off and she unhooked it from her pants, frowning at the name. Jesse. Fantastic.
"Hey, I have to go." She said and turned to leave, but froze, turning back around.
"I did miss you, Jack, a lot." She said, feeling bad for just leaving and never writing or calling. She'd been so afraid too.
"I thought about you a lot." She said, feeling a little odd. She'd never been so calm and soft with someone in such a long time. She took out a folded picture from her shirt and handed it to him.
Sloan smiled at him and gave him a kiss on the cheek before she ran off as fast as she could. She had to make it home. Even though she didn't want to leave Jack. Something about it, she didn't understand it. Even after so long, he still had her feel like the flustered lovestruck 12 year old girl she used to be.
